What made you decide to join our Novem BootCamp?
Honestly, my gym at work closed and I needed something in the interim. A
friend of mine who knows Giulia recommended Novem and I haven’t even
wanted to join my re-opened work gym since.
Name a fitness goal that you have.
I just wanna do one dang toes to bar
Tell us one thing about yourself that no one in the gym knows about you.
Okay some people know this about me, but I’m passionate about surfing. I’ve been to Costa Rica, Panama, Nova Scotia and Mexico just in the past two years for surf trips.
What is your Athletic background?
I gave up all of the sports I did as a kid/teen and I did them all…soccer, dance, field hockey, track, basketball…and in college I never stepped foot in a gym. I don’t know what motivated me, but I eventually got really into fitness and weightlifting became my favorite thing to do. I did my own workouts for the most part and worked with a trainer once/week for a while…eventually I learned that I loved HIIT and weights more than anything and couldn’t be happier that I found Novem to build on those
What is your Favorite and Least Favorite Movement? Why?
Favorite – I have a ton of favorites but lately I’m loving the ski ERGs and I feel my strongest when I’m doing pull ups.
Least favorite – Running. I just … ugh.
How has BootCamp changed your outlook on everyday life?
Physically, I’ve lost 3 inches off of my waist and I feel stronger than ever. I did a plank for an entire minute today! Aside from the amazing physical benefits, the coaches and people that go are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I was gone for two weeks and said to my friends “I can’t wait to go back to Novem, I miss it so much!” If you told me 5 years ago that I’d say I missed a gym, I would’ve punched myself in the face. Novem is the BEST!
